The canton of Brest-3 (Breton same name) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Brest , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its capital is Brest .

history

The canton was created with the reorganization of the cantons in France in 2015. It consists of parts of the city of Brest. These are located in the south of the city west of the Penfeld River to the sea. Then there is the municipality of Plouzané.

The canton is located in the northwest of the Finistère department.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the six voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Florence Cann / Marc Labbey (both PS) won against Maxime Bailliache / Michèle Languille (both FN ) with a share of the vote of 70.63% (turnout: 46.04%).
