Plouzané ( Breton Plouzane ) is a French commune in northwest Brittany in the Finistère department with 12,822 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

The municipality is located on the Atlantic coast at the entrance to the Bay of Brest ( Rade de Brest ).
Brest borders directly on the municipality. The city center is 10 kilometers east and Paris about 500 kilometers east (as the crow flies ).

The expressways E 50 (Brest- Rennes ) and E 60 (Brest- Nantes ) end at Brest . Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris and the regional train lines in the direction of Rennes and Nantes.

Attractions
The remains of the three forts of Dellec , Megant and Minou and the lighthouse Petit Minou are located at the formerly strategically important entrance to the Bay of Brest .
