Le Conquet ( Breton Konk-Leon ) is a French commune with 2,713 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in north-western Brittany in the Finistère department .
location
The community is located directly on the Atlantic coast on the Côte des Abers . Brest is 20 kilometers east and Paris about 520 kilometers east (as the crow flies ).

Infrastructure
Le Conquet is a holiday resort with a small fishing and ferry port. From here there is a ferry connection to the offshore islands of Molène and Ouessant in the main season . There is a regular bus connection to Brest.
The European route 50 (Brest- Rennes ) and the European route 60 (Brest- Nantes ) end at Brest . Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris and the regional train lines in the direction of Rennes and Nantes. The Aéroport de Brest Bretagne regional airport is located near the city of Brest .
From 1903 to 1932, Le Conquet was also connected to Brest by a narrow-gauge railway.

In addition to some worth seeing churches and chapels from the last centuries, the small port and the lighthouse that characterizes the townscape, the two forts Fort Saint-Louis and Fort de l'Îlette de Kermorvan, dating from the mid-19th century, are the most important tourist attractions developed holiday resort.
