Fred J. Koenekamp
Fred J. Koenekamp (born November 11, 1922 in Los Angeles , California - † May 31, 2017 in Bonita Springs , Florida ) was an American cinematographer .
life and work
Fred J. Koenekamp began his career as a director of photography in the film business in the mid-1960s. Among other things, he worked as a cameraman for the TV series Solo for ONCEL . From the beginning of the 1980s Koenekamp worked increasingly on television productions. His work includes more than 90 productions. He last appeared as a cameraman in 1991.
In 1974 he and his colleague Joseph F. Biroc received an Oscar for their work on Flammendes Inferno .
He worked more often with the director Franklin J. Schaffner .
His father Hans F. Koenekamp worked as a special effects artist in the film business.
