Lannilis ( Breton Lanniliz ) is a French commune in north-west Brittany in the Finistère department with 5592 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It is located near the English Channel on a peninsula on the Côte des Abers .

Brest is 20 kilometers south and Paris about 500 kilometers east.

At Brest there are the next exits on the expressways E 50 towards Rennes and E 60 towards Nantes .

Brest train station is the terminus of regional train lines and the TGV Atlantique to Paris. From 1898 to 1940 there was a narrow-gauge railway that branched off from the Brest - Saint-Pol-de-Léon line in Plabennec , and ran via Lannilis to Landéda and on to the port of Aber Wrac'h . As early as 1931 it was decided to replace it with bus transport.

The Aéroport de Brest Bretagne regional airport is located 15 kilometers south of the municipality near the city of Brest .
