Plouarzel ( Plouarzhel in Breton ) is a French commune with 3715 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in northwest Brittany in the Finistère department .
geography
The municipality is located on the Atlantic coast , the Côte des Abers . Brest is 18 kilometers southeast and Paris about 520 kilometers east (as the crow flies ). The river Aber Ildut runs along the northern border of the municipality .

The European route 50 (Brest– Rennes ) and the European route 60 (Brest– Nantes ) end at Brest . Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris and the regional train lines in the direction of Rennes and Nantes.
