Location of the association of municipalities
in the Brittany region

The Communauté de communes du Pays d'Iroise is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Finistère in the region of Brittany . The association consists of 19 municipalities in the north-west of the department, between the English Channel in the north, the Atlantic with the sea area Chenal du Four in the west and the Bay of Brest in the south. The administrative seat is in Lanrivoaré .

The association was founded on December 8, 1992, initially with 11 municipalities (25,000 inhabitants) after a previous association, the " Syndicat intercommunal à vocation multiple of the Saint-Renan region ", had been dissolved. In 1994 the municipality of Île-Molène joined. After the dissolution of the Syndicat intercommunal à vocation multiple Ploudalmézeau , eight more communities joined in 1997, increasing the population of the community association to the current number.
