The Morlaix Communauté is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Finistère in the region of Brittany . The community association was founded on December 30, 1999 and consists of 26 communities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in the city of Morlaix .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Plouigneau and Le Ponthou became part of the Commune nouvelle Plouigneau . This reduced the number of member parishes to 26.
