Le Ponthou ( Breton Ar Pontoù ) is a village and a commune déléguée in the French commune of Plouigneau with 177 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Finistère department .
The municipality of Le Ponthou merged with Plouigneau on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Plouigneau of the same name . Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée.
location
The place is located in the north of Brittany not far from the Atlantic coast . Morlaix is 13 kilometers west, Brest 65 kilometers west and Paris about 440 kilometers east (as the crow flies ). The Douron River runs through the village .
traffic
The nearest exit is on the E 50 expressway (Brest- Rennes ) and regional train stations at Plouigneau and Plouaret on the mostly parallel railway line. Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris, and Brest is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne .
