The Monts d'Arrée Communauté is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Finistère in the region of Brittany . It was founded on October 26, 2016 and comprises twelve municipalities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative seat is in Loqueffret .

founding

It was established on January 1, 2017 as the successor organization to the communal associations Communauté de communes des Monts d'Arrée and Communauté de communes du Yeun Elez .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Poullaouen and Locmaria-Berrien became part of the Commune nouvelle Poullaouen . This reduced the number of member communities to twelve and the total area.
