Brennilis ( Breton Brenniliz ) is a French municipality with 444 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Finistere region . The Brennilis nuclear power plant , which is no longer in operation and is being dismantled, is located near the community .
geography
The place is located in the west of Brittany in the Regional Natural Park Armorique ( French Parc naturel régional d'Armorique ), at the foothills of the Monts d'Arrée ridge . The Ellez River runs along the southern municipal boundary , endowing the Réservoir de Saint-Michel with water. Quimper is 35 kilometers south-east, Brest 36 km west and Paris around 450 km east (as the crow flies ).

At Le Faou and Châteaulin , the nearest exits are on the E 60 expressway (Brest- Nantes ) and at Landivisiau and Morlaix on the E 50 (Brest- Rennes ). In the aforementioned places there are also the nearest regional train stations on the mostly parallel railway lines.
Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris.
The nearest regional airports are the Aéroport de Brest Bretagne near Brest and the Aéroport de Lorient Bretagne Sud near Lorient .
