Armorique Regional Natural Park
The Regional Nature Park Armorique ( French Parc naturel régional d'Armorique ) extends in the French department of Finistère , in the region of Brittany . In Breton language , the called Nature Park Park Arvorig .
The nature park, founded in 1969, covers an area of 112,000 hectares, of which 60,000 hectares are ocean. 39 municipalities form the park, four more are associated.
The nature park includes the following areas:
- the islands of the Iroise Sea with the megalithic structures on the Molene archipelago
- the Crozon peninsula
- the Aulne-Maritime
- the Monts d' Arrée mountains
The park administration is based in Le Faou ( 48 ° 18 ′ N , 4 ° 11 ′ W, ).
