Cast ( Breton Kast ) is a French commune in the Finistère department with 1,556 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
location
The place is in the west of Brittany about ten kilometers east of the Atlantic coast near the Bay of Douarnenez , five kilometers southwest of Châteaulin , 18 kilometers north of Quimper and 36 kilometers southeast of Brest (as the crow flies).
traffic
The closest exits on the motorway-like expressway E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) are at Châteaulin and Briec . In Châteaulin there is a regional train station on the Savenay – Landerneau railway line and a regional airport near Brest ( Aéroport Brest-Bretagne ).
