Trégarvan ( Breton Tregarvan ) is a French commune in the Finistère department with 119 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaulin and the canton of Crozon .

geography

The municipality is located in the west of Brittany above the mouth of the river Aulne in the Rade de Brest , a deeply inland bay of the Atlantic . It belongs to the Cornouaille region and is located on the northern flank of the 330 m high Ménez-Hom in the Parc naturel régional d'Armorique nature park and at the beginning of the Crozon peninsula, which extends to the west . Châteaulin is eleven kilometers southeast, Brest 25 kilometers northwest and Quimper 30 kilometers south (figures rounded off as the crow flies ).

The closest exit on the motorway-like expressway E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) is at Châteaulin and Le Faou, and the nearest regional train station on the mostly parallel railway line is at Châteaulin.
