Saint-Coulitz ( Breton Sant-Kouled ) is a French commune in the Finistère department in Brittany with 437 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaulin and the canton of Crozon .

geography

The municipality is located west of Brittany approximately in the center of the department, on the edge of the Armorique Regional Nature Park ( French Parc naturel régional d'Armorique ). The place is located south of the Aulne , the longest river in the department, which is canalised here as part of the Canal de Nantes à Brest . A few kilometers further north-west near Port-Launay , the Aulne opens into a confluence that flows into the Rade de Brest , a bay of the Atlantic that protrudes deep into the land . Châteaulin is about three kilometers north-west, Quimper 21 km south and Brest 38 km north-west.

traffic

The nearest exit on the motorway-like expressway E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) and the next regional train station on the mainly parallel railway line belonging to the TER Bretagne network is at Châteaulin. The regional airport Aéroport Brest-Bretagne is located near Brest .
