Plonévez-Porzay ( Breton Plonevez-Porzhe ) is a French commune in the Finistère department with 1758 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

location

The municipality is located in Cornouaille in western Brittany on the Atlantic coast ( Bay of Douarnenez ), with the center being four kilometers from the coast.

Douarnenez is about nine kilometers southwest, Châteaulin about twelve kilometers northeast, Quimper about 16 kilometers southeast and Brest about 35 kilometers northwest of Plonévez-Porzay (as the crow flies).

The closest exits on the motorway-like expressway E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) and the regional train stations on the mainly parallel railway line are at Châteaulin and Quimper.

The nearest regional airport is located near Brest .
