Saint-Goazec ( Sant-Wazeg in Breton ) is a French commune in western Brittany in the Finistère department with 706 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The municipality belongs to the canton of Briec (canton of Châteauneuf-du-Faou until 2015 ).
location
The place is located around 35 kilometers east of the Atlantic coast on the banks of the Aulne river and on the northern edge of the Montagnes Noires ridge .
Quimper is 30 kilometers southwest, the city and port of Brest 57 kilometers northwest and Paris around 470 kilometers east (as the crow flies ).

At Châteaulin , Briec and Rosporden there are departures on the E-60 section Brest– Nantes and u. a. at Morlaix there is another on the E 50 towards Rennes .
In Châteaulin, Quimper and Rosporden, regional trains stop on the Brest – Nantes line and Brest station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris.
The Aéroport de Brest Bretagne regional airport is located near the city of Brest in Guipavas .
Attractions
The main attractions of the small town are a gallery grave of the type "arc-boutée" or "à dalles inclinées" by Castel-Ruffel , the menhirs of Trimen and the Trévarez castle from the late 19th century.
