Saint-Nic ( Breton Sant-Vig ) is a French commune in the Finistère department with 773 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaulin and the canton of Crozon .

location

The municipality is located in the west of Brittany on the Atlantic coast ( Bay of Douarnenez ), the center of which is about two kilometers east of the coast. It belongs to the Cornouaille region and is located on the southwest flank of the 330 m high Ménez-Hom on the edge of the Parc naturel régional d'Armorique and at the beginning of the Crozon Peninsula, which extends to the west . Châteaulin is 13 kilometers east, Brest 25 kilometers northwest and Quimper 26 kilometers southeast (figures rounded off as the crow flies ).

The Menez Lié dolmen is east of Saint-Nic.

The closest exit on the motorway-like expressway E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) and the next regional train station on the mostly parallel railway line are at Châteaulin . The regional airport Aéroport Brest-Bretagne is located near Brest .
