The Ellez is a river in France that runs in the Finistère department in the Brittany region . It rises in the Armorique Regional Nature Park , near the hamlet of Roquinarc'h , in the municipality of Saint-Rivoal , and in its upper reaches it crosses the Yeun Elez marshland and the Réservoir de Saint-Michel , which is dammed up to cool the Brennilis nuclear power plant (shut down in 1985) has been. The river generally drains in a south-easterly direction and flows into the Aulne as a right tributary after 28 kilometers at the town of Pénity-Saint-Laurent , on the municipal boundary of Plouyé and Landeleau .
