Guimaëc ( Breton Gwimaeg ) is a French commune in the north of Brittany in the Finistère department with 947 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

The place is located in the north of Brittany near the Atlantic coast on the English Channel . Morlaix is 15 kilometers southwest, Brest 65 kilometers southwest and Paris around 450 kilometers east.
The dolmen of Saint-Jean is located next to a field in the hamlet of Christ north of Guimaëc.
