Plouvorn ( Breton Plouvorn ) is a French commune with 2870 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in western Brittany in the Finistère department . It belongs to the community association Communauté de communes du Pays de Landivisiau .

geography

The municipality is located in the north of Brittany, twelve kilometers south of the Atlantic coast . Morlaix is 15 kilometers east, the city and port of Brest 38 kilometers southwest and Paris around 470 kilometers east (as the crow flies ). The municipality is crossed by the Horn River.

traffic

At Landivisiau and Morlaix there are departures on European route 50 (Brest- Rennes ) and regional train stations on the mostly parallel railway line. Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris. Aéroport de Brest Bretagne airport near Brest is the nearest regional airport .
