The canton of Plouigneau (Breton canton Plouigno ) is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Morlaix , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Plouigneau .
history
The canton was created on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, seven municipalities belonged to the canton of Plouigneau. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of municipalities rose to 17. In addition to the previous municipalities of the old canton of Plouigneau, all 8 municipalities of the previous canton of Lanmeur , 1 municipality of the canton of Morlaix and 1 of the 5 municipalities of the previous canton of Saint-Thégonnec were added .
