The Canton Guipavas (Breton Canton Gwipavaz ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement Brest , in the Finistere region and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Guipavas .

history

The canton was established on February 15, 1790 and was dissolved again in 1801. It was recreated in 1985. Until 2015, there were two municipalities in the canton of Guipavas. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of municipalities rose to 3. In addition to the previous two municipalities in the old canton of Guipavas, 1 of the 10 municipalities in the previous canton of Daoulas was added.
