The canton Landerneau (Breton canton Landerne ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Brest , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its main place is Landerneau .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, eight communities belonged to the canton of Landerneau. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 9 in 2015. One commune in the previous canton moved to another canton. Two of the 7 municipalities of the previous canton of Ploudiry were added to the remaining 7 municipalities in the old canton of Landerneau .
