The canton Lesneven (Breton canton Lesneven ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Brest , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Lesneven .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, twelve municipalities belonged to the canton of Lesneven. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of communes rose to 18. In addition to the previous communes of the old canton of Lesneven, 4 of the 9 communes of the previous canton of Plabennec Lannilis and 2 of the 5 communes of the canton Lannilis were added.
