The canton of Morlaix (Breton canton Montroulez ) is a French canton in the arrondissement of Morlaix , in the department of Finistère and in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Morlaix .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, four municipalities belonged to the canton of Morlaix. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the number of municipalities rose to eleven in 2015. One of the previous four municipalities moved to another canton. In addition to the three remaining municipalities in the old canton of Morlaix, four municipalities each from the previous cantons of Saint-Thégonnec and Taulé were added.
