Ploumoguer ( Breton Ploñger ) is a French commune with 2063 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in north-west Brittany in the Finistère department .

location

The municipality is located near the Atlantic coast at the Côte des Abers and the mouth of the Bay of Brest ( Rade de Brest ) in the open Atlantic. Brest is 18 kilometers southeast and Paris about 520 kilometers east (as the crow flies ).

The European route 50 (Brest- Rennes ) and European route 60 (Brest- Nantes ) end at Brest . Brest train station is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris and the regional train lines in the direction of Rennes and Nantes.
