Yangshuo
Yangshuo ( Chinese 陽朔縣 / 阳朔县 , pinyin Yangshuo Xiàn ; Zhuang Yangzsoz Yen ) is a group of prefecture-level city Guilin in the autonomous region of Guangxi of Zhuang in the People's Republic of China .
location
Yangshuo is located in the karst area south of the city center of Guilin, about 65 km from the main train station.
size
Yangshuo has an area of 1,428 km² and about 310,000 inhabitants (end of 2004). The capital and administrative center of the circle is the greater community of Yangshuo. At the census in 2000 it had just under 41,000, but in 2008 it had already approx. 100,000 inhabitants.
economy
In economic terms, tourism makes a significant contribution to the standard of living of the residents. The Guilin Karst in Yangshuo was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014 as part of the karst landscapes in southern China .
Administrative structure
At the community level, Yangshuo is made up of six large communities and three communities. These are (2000 population census):
- Greater community Yangshuo ( 阳朔镇 ), 40 891 inhabitants;
- Large village Baisha ( 白沙镇 ), 41 621 inhabitants;
- Large municipality of Fuli ( 福利 镇 ), 41,438 inhabitants;
- Xingping municipality ( 兴 坪镇 ), 36,427 inhabitants;
- Putao municipality ( 葡萄 镇 ), population 28,176;
- Gaotian municipality ( 高 田镇 ), 29,611 inhabitants;
- Community Jinbao ( 金宝乡 ), 26,438 inhabitants;
- Puyi municipality ( 普 益 乡 ), 10,544 inhabitants;
- Community Yangdi ( 杨堤乡 ), 9,494 inhabitants.
