Plouvien ( Breton Plouvien ) is a French commune in north-west Brittany in the Finistère department with 3766 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

location

The place is about ten kilometers south of the Atlantic coast at the entrance of the English Channel .

The major and port city of Brest is 15 kilometers south and Paris around 500 kilometers east (as the crow flies ).

traffic

At Brest there are the next exits on the expressways E 50 towards Rennes and E 60 towards Nantes . Brest train station is the terminus of the regional train lines in the direction of Morlaix / Rennes and Quimper / Nantes as well as the TGV Atlantique to Paris.

The regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne is only ten kilometers south of the municipality near the city of Brest .
