Bohars ( Breton Boc'harzh ) is a French commune in the Finistère department in Brittany with 3458 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Brest , the canton of Brest-4 and the Brest Métropole municipal association .

geography

The municipality is located in western Brittany in the greater Brest area on the banks of the Penfeld river . Both the city center of Brest and the Rade de Brest are only a few kilometers southeast, the Atlantic coast at the beginning of the English Channel about 18 kilometers north.

Transport links

The closest connections to the motorway-like expressways E 50 ( Rennes -Brest) and E 60 ( Nantes -Brest) are only a few kilometers west of the municipality on the north-eastern outskirts of Brest, where they meet. The Gare de Brest train station is a TGV Atlantique station and regional train station in the TER Bretagne network . The Brest airport is located about ten kilometers west.
