The Penfeld is a small river in France that runs in the Finistère department in the Brittany region .

It rises in the municipality of Gouesnou , generally drains in a south-westerly direction and after 16 kilometers in the urban area of Brest flows into the Rade de Brest and thus into the Atlantic Ocean . In its estuary section, the Penfeld is already influenced by the tides and was used to build port facilities for the naval base of the city of Brest.
