Plabennec ( Breton Plabenneg ) is a French commune in northwestern Brittany in the Finistère department with 8,436 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

location

The place is about 14 kilometers south of the Atlantic coast at the entrance of the English Channel .

The city and port of Brest is 18 kilometers south and Paris around 500 east (as the crow flies ).

traffic

At Brest there are the next exits on the expressways E 50 towards Rennes and E 60 towards Nantes . Brest train station is the terminus of regional train lines and the TGV Atlantique to Paris.

The Aéroport de Brest Bretagne regional airport is just five kilometers south of the municipality near the city of Brest .
