The Aber Ildut is a French coastal river in the Finistère department in Brittany .

course

It rises in the municipality of Plouzané , east of the Castel Névez district , initially runs northeast, then turns to northwest, crosses a chain of lakes and flows into the Atlantic Ocean after 24 km between the municipalities of Lampaul-Plouarzel and Lanildut in the Celtic Sea . Below the hamlet of Pont Reun (municipality of Plouarzel ) it is already exposed to the tides and forms a funnel mouth several kilometers wide . Immediately before reaching the open sea, a small stream flows in from the left, which forms the bay Anse de Milin an Aod .

Together with the Aber Benoît and the Aber Wrac'h , the Aber Ildut is the namesake for the Côte des Abers .
