Ernest Le Guerranic

Ernest Le Guerranic (born October 13, 1831 in Le Conquet , † December 1915 in Saint-Brieuc ) was a French architect who worked on the construction of several mostly sacred buildings in the departments of Finistère and Côtes-du-Nord (today Côtes-d ' Armor) played a key role.

Life

Le Guerranic was the son of Jean-Marie Le Guerranic, who was mayor of Le Conquet several times between 1801 and 1837. Between 1874 and 1886 he was the architect of the Arrondissement of Brest and realized 26 buildings in Finistère. From 1885 to 1904 he also worked in the Côtes-du-Nord department. His plans from 1868 to 1904 have been in the Archives départementales in Saint-Brieuc since 1997 .

Ernest Le Guerranic built two churches in Finistère in the neoclassic style , 18 in the neo-Gothic style and 6 in the neo-romantic style.
