Julia Röper-Kelmayr (born May 7, 1975 in Linz ) is an Austrian doctor and politician ( SPÖ ).

Education and career

Röper-Kelmayr was born on May 7, 1975 in Linz and is married. After four years of elementary school, she graduated from the Academic Gymnasium Linz , Spittelwiese, with distinction. From 1993 to 2000 she studied medicine at the University of Vienna . From October 2000 she was a regular doctor at the General Hospital of the City of Linz (now Kepler University Hospital). After completing her training as a specialist in radiology, she worked as a senior physician at the Central Radiological Institute (ZRI) of the Kepler University Hospital from November 2008 to January. There she also holds the function of a central works council and subsequently a member of the supervisory board of the Kepler University Hospital. In October 2015 she completed her master's degree in medical law with an LLM and in September 2018 the master's degree in Health Care Management (MBA). On February 1, 2019, she was appointed head of the Radiological Institute of the Rohrbach Hospital. As part of the Upper Austrian Medical Association, she was a chamber councilor from 2011 to 2016. She continues to act as head of the Chamber's women's department and as a member of the disciplinary committee.

On October 27, 2003 she was sworn in as a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament . As health spokeswoman for the Social Democratic Party of Austria in the Upper Austrian state parliament, she was a member of the social committee, culture committee and finance committee in her second parliamentary term. From 2003 to 2015 she was chair of the Legal Clearing and Petitions Committee. Furthermore, she has been a member of the Upper Austrian Provincial Health Council since 2004 and a voting member of the Upper Austrian health platform as well as a member of the spag supervisory board (now Upper Austrian health holding). She is also deputy chairwoman of the supervisory board of OÖ Theater- und Orchester GmbH Linz.
