Plug-in bottom

The plug-in base is a base variant for folding boxes made of cardboard , corrugated cardboard or plastic . With a rectangular base, it consists of four tabs that are inserted into one another after the base body has been erected so that they hold each other. The floor can then be pressed in from below in order to unlock the tabs again if necessary, but a very resilient floor surface is formed from above. It can therefore be said that the stability of the floor is largely due to the load caused by the packaged goods . There is also a variant for folding boxes with a hexagonal base.
