Stedet (Norwegian for site , in Australia Nora Island ) is a small island off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In Utstikkar Bay , it is just north of Falla Bluff .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions named them in 1959 after Eleonor "Nora" Bolza (1920–2014), wife of Alfons Bolza (* 1918), who worked in 1958 as a weather observer at Mawson Station .
