Stefan Arsenijević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Стефан Арсенијевић ; born March 11, 1977 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian film director and screenwriter .

Live and act

Arsenijević studied philosophy, film and television directing in Belgrade and began directing short films in the late 1990s. His first short film, The Plum Tree (2000) was awarded the “Special Jury Prize for Special Artistic Achievements” at the Yugoslav Documentary and Short Film Festival in Belgrade for the best debut and at the “Golden Knight Film Festival” in Moscow . In 2003 Arsenijević won the Golden Bear in the short film category at the Berlinale with (A) torsion . In the same year the film was also nominated for the short film Oscar .
