Stefan Bieler

Stefan Bieler (* 1963 ) is a German economist and professor of business administration . He has been President of the FHDW Hannover since 2019 .

Life

Bieler studied business administration at the Aston Business School in Birmingham and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg , where he later also received his doctorate. This was followed by various activities in business, including at Deutsche Bank and a lecturer at the Bank Academy in Frankfurt. Finally, in 2000, he was appointed professor for business administration with a focus on medium-sized business at the FHDW Hanover. In 2019, Biel became president of the university.

Bieler's main research interests include, in particular, issues relating to medium-sized businesses and corporate succession .
