Stefan Gibson
Stefan Gibson (born August 13, 1972 in Harare , Zimbabwe ) is a designer and painter of English-German origin.
After a few stops in South Africa and Thailand, he came to Frankfurt am Main in the 1980s. Between 1996 and 2005 he created portraits of important personalities such as B. Hilmar Hoffmann , Nelson Mandela and the Prince of Qatar.
His works have so far been exhibited in Johannesburg , Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. In his work he mainly deals with the phenomenon of space.
Inspired by artists such as Francis Bacon , Lucian Freud and Chuck Close , the artist turned back to portraiture in 2010.
