Stefan Jedele (born February 5, 1954 in Stuttgart ) is a German television producer and former program director of RTL II and Super RTL .

Career

Stefan Jedele grew up in Grünwald and studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich after graduating from high school . He graduated with a degree in business administration and a Dr. phil. from. During his studies, he worked in Munich and Los Angeles for film and television, including in the editing room for Billy Wilder .

In 1981 he turned his back on the Munich film and television landscape and became the business editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine . From 1986 he was in charge of programming at Sat.1 . In 1988 he was lured away by RTL and, as managing director, set up RTL Nord as the first regional program for RTL. RTL managing director Helmut Thoma commissioned Jedele with the conception of RTL 2 (1992) and Super RTL (1994). He was program director for both channels.

At the end of the 1990s, Jedele became a producer and developed several TV formats with “Straßenfeger TV”, mainly for the RTL Group .

From 2005 to 2012 Jedele was together with Barbara Schüßler producer of Upps! - The breakdown show on Super RTL and Upps! - The super breakdown show on RTL Television. Other productions were full , funny, lively: The best advertising hits in the world and Natascha Zuraw .

Jedele has been working as Senior Manager for ProSiebenSat.1 since 2012, primarily in the field of reality TV . Since 2014 he has been the managing director of broadlight GmbH .

Stefan Jedele is the son of Helmut Jedele , the former television director of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk . He himself has three sons and lives in Cologne.
