Stefan Jurjewitsch Nemirowski

Stefan Jurjewitsch Nemirowski ( Russian Стефан Юрьевич Немировский , English transcription: Stefan Nemirovski ; born July 29, 1973 ) is a Russian mathematician.

Nemirowski, who obtained his habilitation in 2007 (Russian doctorate), is a mathematician at the Steklow Institute . He also teaches at the Independent University of Moscow and is visiting scholar at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

Nemirowski deals with topology and complex analysis and solved some old problems about submanifolds in complex spaces with modern techniques like the Seiberg-Witten theory.

In 2000 he received the EMS Prize .
