Stefan Lenzen

Stefan Lenzen (born January 26, 1981 in Heinsberg ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 .

Life

Stefan Lenzen completed an apprenticeship as a banker and then completed a technical college degree at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences with a degree in business administration. Before moving into the state parliament, he worked as a personnel officer at a medium-sized retailer.

Stefan Lenzen joined the FDP and the Young Liberals in 1999 . He has been a member of the board of the FDP Heinsberg since 2008, currently as deputy chairman of the city association. Lenzen has been a member of the district board since 2008. He currently holds the office of district treasurer and press officer there. He was a member of the state board of the FDP North Rhine-Westphalia from 2012 to 2014.

Lenzen was a member of the Heinsberg City Council from 2004 to 2009 , where he was most recently deputy parliamentary group chairman and group manager. Since the local elections in 2009, he has been a member of the district assembly of the Heinsberg district as parliamentary group leader of his party. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he received a mandate on his party's state list. As in the state elections in 2012 , he also ran for election in the constituency of Heinsberg I , in which he received 4.6% of the first votes in 2012 and 7.7% in 2017.

In the 17th legislative period, Stefan Lenzen is the spokesman for labor and social affairs as well as for integration and refugees of the FDP parliamentary group in North Rhine-Westphalia. He is also a member of the Committee for Home, Local Affairs, Building and Housing.
