Stefan Pavlov

Stefan Georgiev Pavlov ( Bulgarian Стефан Павлов ) (born November 8, 1914 in Omurtag , † 1993 ) was a Bulgarian lawyer.

Life

Pavlov studied in Sofia law . In 1951 he became head of the Chair of Criminal Law at Sofia University . In 1957 he took over the position of editor-in-chief of Prawna Missyl magazine . From 1961 he was head of the section for criminal law at the Institute for Political Science and Law. Pavlov was also a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences .

Pavlov played a key role in developing the code of criminal procedure and the law of criminal procedure in Bulgaria, which was then shaped by socialism .

He was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
