Stefan Posch (born January 18, 1977 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian politician ( FRITZ ) and assistant to the board. He was a member of the Federal Council from 2012 to 2013 .

education and profession

Posch attended the boys' elementary school in Hall in Tirol from 1984 to 1987 and then from 1988 to 1991 the Franziskanergymnasium Hall in Tirol . In 1992 he moved to the Federal Commercial Academy in Hall in Tirol and graduated from there in 1996 . He started working in the Raiffeisen sector in 1996, after having passed the internal auditing exam in 1999, he was appointed internal auditor in 2000. In 2002 he also passed the executive examination in accordance with the Banking Act and was appointed head of the management staff in the same year. In 2006 he was appointed managing director in accordance with Section 42 Banking Act. From 2007 to 2008 he worked as a bank consultant as a manager at ZEB, during which he completed stays abroad in various European countries and focused on strategy, merger and restructuring. In 2008, Posch switched to the Volksbank sector and has since worked as an assistant to the board and head of sales.

Politics and functions

Posch was a member of Absam's municipal council from 1998 to 2004. Furthermore, he was involved as a member of the council of the Tyrolean School Council and was parliamentary group chairman from 2008. He became a member of the Fritz Dinkhauser list in 2008 and was a member of the Board of Management responsible for finance from 2009 to 2013. From 2009 he belonged to the state parliament club on the Fritz Dinkhauser list and from 2010 also acted as its auditor. After Stefan Zangerl left, Posch moved up to the Federal Council on December 11, 2012, to which he was a member until May 23, 2013, although he had already left the Fritz list on March 15, 2013. Posch cited the “developments and disputes within the party” of the previous weeks as reasons for his resignation. As his political work priorities, he indicated politics for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as "social fairness".

In 2012 Posch was also a member of the Tyrolean Housing Promotion Advisory Board and a deputy member of the Tyrolean Housing Promotion Board, since 2011 he has also been the auditor of the Unteroffiziersgesellschaft (UOGT) Tirol, and in 2004 he was the financial advisor of the Austrian Red Cross at the Hall in Tirol district office.

Private

Posch is single and has one daughter.
