Stefan Rütimann (born August 21, 1978 in Zug ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Rütimann became a professional in 1999 with the Vini Caldirola-Sidermec team . Rütimann caused a sensation less with his sporting successes - winning the Giro dei 6 Comuni 2000 was his only countable result as a professional - than with his repeated conviction as a doping sinner : in 2001, after the final stage of the Tour de Romandie, he tested positive for testosterone . After serving a seven-month ban, he tested positive for testosterone again in 2002. He then received a four-year ban for repeat doping and he announced his retirement from cycling.
