Stefan Rohringer

Stefan Rohringer (* 1967 ) is a German music theorist and university professor .

Life

Stefan Rohringer studied school music, piano, composition, aural education, musicology and history in Cologne. He is a professor of music theory at the University of Music and Theater in Munich and has presented various publications on music-pedagogical and music-theoretical issues. 2004–2008 he was President of the Society for Music Theory (GMTH). 2006–15 he was co-editor of the magazine of the Society for Music Theory (ZGMTH).
