Stefan Salzl

Stefan Salzl (born June 29, 1948 in Illmitz ) is an Austrian veterinarian and politician ( FPÖ ). Salzl was a member of the National Council and club chairman of the FPÖ Landtag Club in Burgenland.

Between 1954 and 1958, Stefan Salzl attended primary school in Illmitz and then the Federal Realgymnasium and Federal High School Mattersburg as well as a grammar school in Vienna. After graduating from high school in 1967, Salzl did military service between 1967 and 1968 and then studied veterinary medicine. In 1979 he graduated with the academic degree Dr. med. vet. from.

Stefan Salzl has been a self-employed veterinarian since 1977 and was the official veterinarian at the Burgenland State Government and the Eisenstadt District Authority from 1986 to 1991. In 2005, Salzl took over the office of animal protection officer.

Salzl was a member of the Burgenland Landtag between 1991 and 1994 and moved to the National Council from November 7, 1994 and October 28, 1999. Salzl was also mayor of Halbturn from 1992 and 2002 and from 1992 district party chairman of the FPÖ Neusiedl am See . He was also a member of the federal party leadership from 1993.

In 2000, Salzl moved back to the Burgenland Landtag and became club chairman of the FPÖ. After Salzl had been regional party chairman of the FPÖ Burgenland from 1992, he took over the office of regional party chairman in 2000. Salzl left the state parliament on December 31, 2004 and was succeeded by Johann Tschürtz as state party chairman on January 16, 2005 .
