Stefan Schwoch (born October 19, 1969 in Bolzano ) is a former Italian football player who became known in his long career primarily because of his many goals.

Born in South Tyrol, he began his career in 1987 with Passirio Merano , for whom he played one season and then moved to the amateur club Benacense Riva . In 1989 he moved to SPAL Ferrara . However, he could not live up to his expectations as he only scored one goal in 24 games. A year later Schwoch signed with AS Crevalcore and developed there into a dangerous attacker. In 1992 he moved to the fourth division club AC Pavia , where he scored 19 goals in 60 games. Then Schwoch changed clubs again and played for AS Livorno and Ravenna Calcio . As a result, he rose to become one of the best Serie B scorers in history, scoring a goal at virtually every opportunity. In the 1995/96 season he scored 21 league goals even for Ravenna and brought the club almost single-handedly for promotion to the Serie B .

But the player again proved his status as a wandering bird and then switched to SSC Venice and a little later to SSC Napoli . In Naples he rose to a popular hero almost overnight when he scored a total of 22 Serie B goals in the 1999/2000 season and brought the club back to Serie A as the top scorer. A year later he went to Turin FC . The striker did not stay with this club for long either until he found a long-term employer in Vicenza Calcio in 2001 . For Vicenza he played a total of 220 league games in Serie B and scored 74 goals. As a result, he was revered throughout Vicenza and went down as one of the best scorers in the club's history. In 2008 he finally ended his successful career and then became one of the managing directors of his favorite club, Vicenza Calcio.
