Stefan Weirather
Stefan Weirather (born October 14, 1967 in Zams ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and managing director. He has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament since 2013 .
education and profession
Weirather attended 1974-1978 elementary school Imst -Oberstadt and following 1978-1982 the high school Imst upper town. He then completed the polytechnic course in Imst from 1982 to 1983 and from October 1983 to April 1987 an apprenticeship as a radio and television technician at the Müller Johann company in Imst, which he completed with the final apprenticeship examination. From April 1987 to July 1987 he did his military service at the Tyrolean Military Command and passed the medical assistant examination in May 1987. After his military service, Weirather worked from July 1987 to October 1990 as a radio and television technician for Imst Stadtwerke, after which he did the rest of his military service from October 1990 to February 1991. Before that, in 1990 he had passed the master's examination as a radio and television technician. He then worked again for the municipal utilities in Imst until July 1995 and then went into business for himself with a radio and television customer service in Imst. Weirather ran his business until 2010. From 2001 he attended the preparation for the vocational maturity test at the Vocational Promotion Institute.
Politics and functions
Weirather was Imst's municipal councilor from 2004, where he belonged to the "The Mantl / Strobl List" group. In 2010 he entered the list "All for Imst with Stefan Weirather" and was elected mayor of Imst. He took over the office of mayor on April 7, 2010. In addition, he was chairman of the Imst-Gurgltal tourism association from 2009 to 2010, and since 2010 he has also been chairman of the building and regional planning committee. He has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament and health spokesman for the ÖVP state parliament club since May 24, 2013.
